Grizzly Bear + Beach House at the 2640 St. Paul church tonight. It was a good show; the church was the perfect kind of space to see either of these bands in. Went for Beach House, mostly; and it was a good set, they didn't even have to do anything except sit, play, and have Victoria sing and tell dumb jokes in the deep half-asleep voice of hers. Lovely.
Took a long, nervous 10-block walk down St. Paul to get there. Reasons for being nervous related to content of previous non-survey entry. What stood still stands, but there's little I can do about it now. Still, as I discussed with Jess tonight, something is probably inevitable, for better or worse--little to lose, and even less self-respect to get in the way. Dignity never saved anyone and the stakes are high.
